Slow news day...

Posted on April 27, 2010 at 6:16 PM

OK. I know that (a small-small minority of) you've all come to expect a daily dose of the wit and wisdom which is me, but this has been a *super* busy day, and I've been unable to cram in the creative time required to work something up. Yes, it sucks, but some days I actually DO have to work.

I'm off to Washington, DC tomorrow morning for an event with Lutron. Not entirely sure what the event is -- a Smithsonian induction I think. If you are asking yourself why they want to fly me there to see it, well then, SHAME ON YOU! (OK, I don't know why either. But, hey. Free trip to DC!) I'm hoping to squeeze in some time at the Air & Space museum. (This will make my fourth trip to DC, and so far I have seen nothing besides a cab and a hotel) And this time I'll actually be in DC more than 24 hours! (I think it is 30.)

I do hope that I will return to find a new office chair waiting for me. One of my chair's wheels broke off during an especially intense lean back, causing me to throw a back of Doritos into the air and yell out in panic. And now every time I sit down their is a 20% chance that I will topple over, with odds that increase exponentially if I do any rolling or swiveling, both of which I am prone to do, and violently.

On that note, I'm off. Here's to clear skies and getting bumped to the front of the plane! Shine on you crazy diamonds....

There isn't an Aston Martin waiting for us in DC, is there?... I'm on my way!!
As the ancient proverb states that we all know by heart: May the wheels on our car stay on better than the wheels on your office chair.
